NC State freshman Tommy White continues to take college baseball by storm.

After a stunning 5-homer performance last weekend, he hit two more home runs on Friday vs. Quinnipiac. He now has seven homers on the season, which easily leads the nation.

Overall, White is hitting .577 with an OPS of 2.018. Here’s clips of his two homers on Friday night:

Through six games, he has 21 RBI and 13 runs scored — he’s also stolen a base. It’s one of the most remarkable starts to a college baseball career in recent memory.

White could have been in the 2021 MLB Draft, but ultimately decided to fulfill his commitment to NC State. He was the No. 107 prospect nationally, according to MLB Pipeline’s rankings.

White will now play for three seasons with the Wolfpack before he’s draft-eligible again. He’s expected to be a key piece for NC State as it tries to make it back to Omaha.

NC State faces Quinnipiac on Saturday and Sunday.
