NC State is in the running to land former Charlotte forward Brice Williams.

Williams entered the portal earlier this offseason after a breakout season with the 49ers. He averaged 13.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per contest this season and also shot an impressive 39.7% from 3-point range.

On Wednesday, The Portal Report shared that NC State is one of several teams who have been in contact with Williams regarding his basketball future.

Williams would be a great fit at NC State. At 6-foot-7, he has great size for the forward position to compete in the ACC. His shooting ability on the wing would also give the Wolfpack a big boost next season.

NC State is in the midst of turning over its roster this offseason. The Wolfpack’s 2 lead guards, Terquavion Smith and Jarkel Joiner, are both expected to move on from the program.

That will leave a major hole in NC State’s returning production for 2024. Williams could help solve that issue for Kevin Keatts and his staff.

Williams is from Huntersville, North Carolina. He was a 3-star prospect in the class of 2019 and has 1 year of eligibility remaining.
