NC State defensive lineman Claude Larkins entered the transfer portal on Sunday.

Larkins is a former 3-star recruit who spent 3 seasons with the Wolfpack.

Here’s his announcement:

“I want to thank coach Doeren and his awesome staff for giving me an opportunity to play for the pack,” he wrote in-part. “It was a time that I would never forget thanks to my teammates as well.”

Larkins failed to carve out a full-time role during his time in Raleigh. He redshirted in 2020 and then made 3 total tackles over the course of the past 2 seasons.

Larkins was the No. 1,260 overall player in the country for the class of 2020, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s originally from Hollywood, Fla., and attended Chaminade-Madonna Prep. He will have 3 years of eligibility at his next program.

NC State has already brought in four transfers in this cycle, including one defensive lineman. Ex-Cincinnati defensive lineman Noah Potter has committed to the Wolfpack.

NC State went 8-5 during the 2022 regular season.
