NC State added to its 2023 recruiting class on Thursday afternoon by picking up 3-star offensive lineman Charlie Symonds.

Symonds is a 3-star offensive tackle from Watertown, Connecticut.

Here’s his announcement:

Symonds has a big advantage in that his frame is nearly ready for the college game. He’s listed at 6-foot-7, 285 pounds and should add size as he develops.

He’s the No. 85 offensive tackle prospect in the country for the class of 2023, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 4 player from the state of Connecticut.

Symonds chose the Wolfpack over programs like Michigan State, Boston College, Stanford and Cal, amongst others. He’s scheduled to take an official visit to Raleigh next weekend.

NC State now has 4 commitments in the class of 2023. The group ranks No. 48 overall nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He is the first prospect from outside of North Carolina to commit to NC State so far this cycle.
