NC State slugger Tommy White breaks ACC freshman HR record
NC State freshman Tommy White is officially the most productive home run hitter of any freshman in ACC history.
White blasted his 23rd home run of the season on Thursday night against Wake Forest.

White jumped into the national spotlight early in the year after he hit 9 home runs in his first 8 games. He wasn’t able to keep that pace up, but 23 homers in 49 games is still a very impressive mark.
He’s also hitting .370 on the season and has an OPS of 1.183. He was named a semifinalist for the Dick Howser award on Thursday, too.

White has been one of the primary bright spots for the Wolfpack all season long. NC State entered the year with big expectations, but will likely fall short of hosting a regional at the NCAA Tournament.
NC State will finish up its final regular season series vs. Wake Forest this weekend. The ACC Baseball Tournament begins next week in Charlotte.
