NC State’s women’s basketball team finished off a 17-1 record in ACC play with a win over Virginia Tech on Sunday.

The win clinched the Wolfpack’s ACC regular season title, beating out Louisville (16-2). Their 68-59 win over the Cardinals back on Jan. 20 proved to be decisive.

NC State’s only conference loss this season came against No. 14 Notre Dame in South Bend. Its only losses all season have come vs. ranked team — No. 1 South Carolina and No. 25 Georgia.

Elissa Cunane scored 22 points to help the Wolfpack clinch the regular season title on Sunday against a ranked Virginia Tech team.

Here’s some of the celebration from the locker room postgame:

Because NC State won the league and finished with a top-four seed, it will receive a double-bye in the ACC Tournament. The Wolfpack advance to the quarterfinals and will await the winner of Boston College and Florida State.

If NC State wins that game, it would likely face North Carolina in the semifinals. NC State comfortably swept the season series over the Tar Heels this season.
