North Carolina State's Devin Leary joins elite company after huge game vs. Louisville
North Carolina State quarterback Devin Leary is quietly having an all-ACC caliber season for the Wolfpack.
Leary continued that trend on Saturday vs. Louisville, playing one of the best games of his career. He completed 25-of-36 passes for 317 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Those numbers put his season totals through nine games in elite company. He now has 2,161 yards, 21 touchdowns and 2 interceptions on the season.
The list of quarterbacks to hit those benchmarks in the playoff era includes a Heisman Trophy winner and multiple top draft picks. Here’s the full list, via ESPN’s David Hale:

Leary’s play has the Wolfpack in contention for the ACC Atlantic title. They control their own destiny entering November, and will face Wake Forest on Nov. 13 in a game that could determine the division championship.
North Carolina State’s only conference loss this year came vs. Miami in Week 8. The Hurricanes won 31-30, but Leary was still solid. He completed 24-of-42 passes for 310 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also rushed for a score.
NC State faces Florida State on the road at 4:00 p.m. ET on Saturday.
