Armando Bacot named ACC Player of the Week for 3rd time this season

Armando Bacot has been on an absolute tear this season.

The Tar Heels center was unstoppable in North Carolina’s 2 wins over Boston College and NC State this past week, totaling a combined 43 points and 34 rebounds. Against NC State, Bacot broke the UNC record for career rebounds, passing Tyler Hansbrough

for a total of 1,220.

Those are unreal statlines from the star senior, and it’s coming at the perfect time for the Tar Heels. NC State was UNC’s best win so far this season and may finally have the Tar Heels moving in the right direction as ACC play begins to ramp up.

And as if it was in question, Bacot won the ACC Player of the Week award for the 3rd time this season for his incredible play this past week.

North Carolina looks to extend its win streak to 4 against Syracuse Tuesday at the JMA (Carrier) Dome.
