North Carolina badly needed a road win, and it got one on Tuesday night vs. Louisville.

The Tar Heels prevailed 90-83 in overtime over the Cardinals. They were ultimately the beneficiary of some questionable officiating down the stretch.

Louisville fans reacted swiftly in the arena, and the Cardinals’ official Twitter account responded as well:

In the ends, it’s North Carolina’s fourth straight win and its first road victory since Jan. 2.

All five Tar Heels starters scored in double figures. Brady Manek led the way with 24 points and made 4-of-9 3-point attempts. Leaky Black also came up big, hitting all three of his tries from downtown. He finished with 13 points.

Armando Bacot, who was at the center of Tuesday night’s controversy, scored 19 points and grabbed a game-high 22 rebounds. He also made 2 blocks and 3 steals.

North Carolina again played without Dawson Garcia, who is away from the team while he tends to a family matter. There’s still no timetable for his return to the court.

UNC and Duke will both enter Saturday’s Tobacco Road clash on four-game winning streaks. The winner of that game could finish the weekend in first place in the ACC, pending the result of the Miami game.

Tipoff is at 6:00 p.m. ET on Saturday.
