Desmond Jackson, Class of 2024 OT, announces ACC commitment

Desmond Jackson will play Power 5 football in his home state. The West Forsyth standout has committed to play for North Carolina.

A Clemmons, North Carolina native, Jackson announced his pledge to the Tar Heels on social media Thursday afternoon. Jackson thanked all the coaches who recruited him, finding his best opportunity at UNC where he can be developed by Randy Clements while playing for Mack Brown’s program.

Jackson is UNC’s second commitment in the 2024 recruiting class. He does not yet have a star rating from 247Sports, On3 or Rivals. Those sites indicate that App State, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Georgia Tech, Liberty and Louisville have also extended scholarship offers to Jackson.

Jackson lists his measurements as 6-5, 290 pounds on Hudl, which provides a junior-season highlight reel (below):
