North Carolina is 3-0 and freshman quarterback Drake Maye is off to a great start to the 2022 season.

Through Week 2, Maye is leading the ACC in passing yards (930), passing touchdowns (11), and passing yards per game (310).

Even though he has played one more game than most of the other quarterbacks in the ACC, he is proving to be one of the most productive passers. He has 6 more touchdowns than Syracuse’s Garrett Shrader and NC State’s Devin Leary. He also has 362 more passing yards than Duke’s Riley Leonard.

Maye completed 19-of-24 of his passes for 284 yards, 2 touchdowns, one interception, and a QBR of 82.2 in North Carolina’s 35-28 road win over Georgia State in Week 2.

Last week in the 63-61 win at the Appalachian State, Maye completed 24-of-36 of his passes for 352 yards, 4 touchdowns, no interceptions, and a QBR of 94.4.

Maye has also rushed for 146 yards and 1 touchdown through the first 3 games of his career.

UNC is off in Week 3 but will host Notre Dame in Week 4.
