ESPN’s Chris ‘The Bear’ Fallica makes pick in North Carolina-Pitt game

It should be an exciting contest on Saturday night when No. 21 North Carolina (6-1) takes on visiting Pitt (4-3).

ESPN’s Chris ‘The Bear’ Fallica chimed in with his pick for the contest. Fallica likes Pitt to pull off the upset in large part b

ecause of North Carolina’s shaky offensive line.

Fallica thinks Pitt will be able to apply enough pressure up front to harass quarterback Drake Maye. SirVocea Dennis has tallied a team-best 5 sacks for Pitt.

Fallica also believes Pitt will have a decisive advantage with running back Israel Abanikanda going up against North Carolina’s inept rushing defense. Abanikanda has rushed for 959 yards and 13 touchdowns this season.

“This is a great matchup I think for Pitt. Because what do they do? They rush the passer and Carolina’s offensive line is g

arbage,” Fallica said on GameDay. “And Pitt can run the ball with Izzy against a bad Carolina rush defense.”I like the ole Panthers to go on the road and maybe win outright.”

North Carolina is coming off a bye week. North Carolina most recently edged Duke 38-35. North Carolina is 3-0 in the ACC play.

Pitt most recently fell 24-10 against Louisville. Pitt has dropped 2 of their 3 conference games this season.

Pitt-North Carolina is slated for an 8 p.m. ET kickoff and will be televised on the ACC Network.
