North Carolina is traveling to Durham to face rival Duke in a pivotal ACC Coastal matchup on Saturday night.

The Tar Heels enter this game as a big favorite to eventually clinch the Coastal this season, but a loss to the Blue Devils would significantly change the equation.

ESPN’s SP+ metric is projecting a close game. It is predicting a 35-30 victory for North Carolina.

North Carolina is 5-1 this season and has a perfect record in ACC play. Its only loss came at home against Notre Dame back in late September.

Duke got off to a great start this season, but has suffered losses to Kansas and Georgia Tech. The overtime loss to the Yellow Jackets last weekend may have taken Duke out of serious ACC Coastal contention. However, an upset win over UNC would make things much more interesting down the stretch for the Blue Devils.

North Carolina has won 3 straight meetings against Duke, with the last 2 wins coming by an average of 31.5 points. UNC also leads the all-time series record at 62-41-4.

Kickoff is at 8 p.m. ET on ACC Network.
