The kickoff time and television information have been announced for next month’s North Carolina vs. Miami matchup.

On Saturday, Oct. 8, the game will air on ESPN2 at 4 p.m. ET.

Here’s the announcement:

It will be a pivotal road game for both teams and could decide the ACC Coastal Division at the end of the season. North Carolina and Miami will be searching for a win after 2 difficult losses in Week 4.

North Carolina suffered an upset loss at home to Notre Dame. It turned out to be a 13-point loss for the Tar Heels. North Carolina’s defense surrendered 45 points and 576 yards to Notre Dame. The loss gave North Carolina a 3-1 overall record.

For Miami, the Hurricanes had similar luck at home against Middle Tennessee. Miami was stunned in Saturday’s 45-31 loss at home. It was a frustrating loss for a team that competed with Texas A&M the week before.

North Carolina holds a 12-11 all-time record over Miami in the series. The Tar Heels won the last 3 games vs. Miami since 2019. In 2021, North Carolina outlasted Miami, 45-42, in Chapel Hill. The Tar Heels will look to extend the series streak to 4 consecutive wins.

North Carolina will have a game in between against Virginia Tech on Saturday. On the other hand, Miami will be off in Week 5 and will have an extra week to decompress from the Middle Tennessee loss.
