Kobe Paysour will be out indefinitely after suffering an injury in practice this week, according to a report.

That’s per Inside Carolina’s Adam Smith, who reports that Paysour suffered a broken foot in practice on Tuesday.

North Carolina has some depth at receiver, especially with star transfer Tez Walker now eligible for the rest of the 2023 season. However, this is still a devastating injury for both Carolina and Paysour.

Through five games, Paysour was one of Carolina’s most productive wide receivers. He’s second on the team in catches with 22 and third in yards with 282. His 3 touchdowns on the season lead all UNC pass-catchers entering Week 7.

North Carolina’s offense will now likely lean more heavily on Walker as well as players like Nate McCollum and JJ Jones.

North Carolina is 5-0 on the season and is looking to add a top-25 win to its résumé with a victory over the Canes on Saturday. UNC has won four consecutive meetings against Miami.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night.
