North Carolina forward Leaky Black will return for his fifth season in Chapel Hill.

Black made that announcement on Friday morning, just one day after star center Armando Bacot also announced his return for the 2022-23 campaign.

Black announced return at the end of a letter to his freshman self. Here’s the video:

Black was one of the top defensive players in the country this season. His ability to frustrate opposing players on the perimeter is a major reason why the Tar Heels made a run to the 2022 Final Four.

With Bacot and Black returning, that still leaves two majors decisions for Tar Heels starters. Guards Caleb Love and R.J. Davis could also return for their junior seasons.

Earlier this week, Love said he expects to have a decision made in the next couple weeks. He’s currently receiving feedback from NBA evaluators.

North Carolina’s Final Four run was the 21st in program history, which is the most all-time. The Tar Heels will likely be ranked in amongst the top teams in the country next season.
