North Carolina secured a big — and necessary — road win over Clemson on Tuesday night.

The Tar Heels won 79-77 thanks to a last-second bucket from senior forward Brady Manek. His layup with just over three seconds remaining was enough to secure the win.

Here’s the play:

Manek was the hero in the end, and he had another solid game with 11 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. But it was center Armando Bacot who provided most of the production.

Bacot put up another double double, scoring 24 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in the win. His 24 points came on an efficient 8-of-10 shooting from the field and he also drained 8-of-10 free throws.

This is a nice bounce-back win for North Carolina after getting blown out by Duke in Chapel Hill over the weekend. The Tar Heels are still fighting for an NCAA Tournament berth.

UNC is now 17-7 overall and 9-4 in ACC play. The Tar Heels are currently ranked No. 44 nationally, according to KenPom’s live rankings.

North Carolina faces Florida State at home on Saturday.
