Both North Carolina and Saint Peter’s are 3-0 against the spread so far in the NCAA Tournament, so something will have to give.

North Carolina got here by blowing out Marquette in the first round. Then, the Tar Heels upset Baylor in an overtime classic in Round 2. They also managed to upset UCLA in Sweet 16, who was hoping to make it back to their second straight Final Four.

Saint Peter’s is on perhaps the most improbable run in NCAA Tournament history. The Peacocks shocked the world by upsetting Kentucky in overtime in the round of 64. Then, they picked up rather comfortable victories over Murray State and Purdue.

The Peacocks have the No. 25 defense in the country entering Sunday’s games, according to KenPom. They’ve also found ways to be effective offensively in the NCAA Tournament.

If North Carolina does win, it will be mean the first postseason meeting vs. Duke in this history of that rivalry. The Blue Devils beat Arkansas to advance to the Final Four on Saturday.

North Carolina has 20 Final Four appearances in history, which is already the all-time record. UCLA is in second place with 18.
