North Carolina is a 2.5-point underdog against Kentucky on Saturday afternoon, according to DraftKings.

The Tar Heels were supposed to play UCLA on Saturday in Las Vegas, but the Bruins were forced to back out due to a COVID-19 outbreak. The Wildcats were in a similar situation, which led to this marquee matchup.

North Carolina has fared well against Kentucky in recent years. The Tar Heels have won five of their last eight meetings vs. UK and are 25-16 all-time in the matchup.

North Carolina enters this game on a hot streak. UNC has been playing some of its best ball of the season, led by the scoring prowess of sophomore guard Caleb Love. North Carolina has won five straight games in-part because Love is averaging an efficient 15 points per game over that span.

Meanwhile, Kentucky enters this game after losing a stunner to Notre Dame last weekend. The Wildcats are 7-2 this season, but have yet to secure a quality win.

None of Kentucky’s seven victories have come vs. a team in the top 100 of KenPom’s live rankings. North Carolina is ranked No. 31 entering Saturday’s slate of games.
