North Carolina will be well-represented at the 2024 McDonald’s All-America game.

The Tar Heels have a pair of commitments in the 2024 recruiting class who will were named to the roster for the McDonald’s All-America game on Tuesday. Those players are 5-star shooting guard Ian Jackson and 5-star small forward Drake Powell.

Jackson and Powell are the top-ranked players in North Carolina’s 2024 recruiting class. Jackson is the No. 9 overall player nationally in the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings. The same service has Powell ranked as the No. 10 player in this class.

Jackson and Powell figure to be key pieces for North Carolina’s future going forward. The Tar Heels could be facing a youth movement going into next year with veterans such as Armando Bacot, Harrison Ingram and RJ Davis being either out of eligibility or having the option to begin their pro careers.

UNC also has a commitment from 4-star center James Brown in the class of 2024. Overall, UNC’s class ranks No. 7 nationally per 247Sports Composite rankings.

The McDonald’s All-America game will be played on April 2 in Houston.
