North Carolina lands commitment from 2024 edge defender

North Carolina has picked up a new commitment for its 2024 recruiting class.

Daniel Anderson, an edge defender out of Germantown (Tennessee), has pledged to the Tar Heels.

“I want to thank God for blessing me with this opportunity,” Anderson wrote in a tweeted note. “I want to thank my parents and friends for pushing me. I want to thank Coach Gene [Robinson] for all that he’s done. I want to say thank you to Coach [Mack] Brown and Coach [Gene] Chizik for reaching out. Thank you to all the coaches who have recruited me. Thank you to everyone. It took a village to get me this far and it will take that same supporting cast to push me to success on the next level. With that being said, I’m excited to say I’m a future Tar Heel.”

Anderson lists his measurements as 6-3, 245 pounds. He does not yet have a star rating from 247Sports, On3, Rivals or ESPN. Anderson has scholarship offers from 13 programs, including Indiana.

Anderson gives North Carolina 6 commitments in its 2024 class. His junior season highlights can be viewed below, via Hudl:
