North Carolina added a big piece to its 2025 recruiting class on Sunday.

The Tar Heels earned a commitment from 3-star tight end Logan Farrell. He chose UNC over other programs such as Louisville, Duke and Cincinnati.

Here’s his announcement:

Farrell is a big addition for the Tar Heels. He’s the 562 overall player and the No. 24 tight end in the country for the class of 2025, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 19 player from the state of Illinois.

Farrell attends John Hersey High School in Arlington Heights, Illinois. He’s listed at 6-foot-3, 235 pounds.

Farrell is just now wrapping up his junior season of high school football, so it will be a little bit more than a year before he’s able to officially sign with the Tar Heels. He is UNC’s fourth commitment so far in the class of 2025. Carolina’s class currently sits at No. 22 nationally in that cycle, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
