North Carolina is trending in the right direction.

The Tar Heels are a No. 4 seed in Joe Lunardi’s latest bracketology update. The ESPN analyst released his latest projection on Tuesday following another eventful week in college basketball. UNC was previously a 5-seed.

Carolina moves up after picking up a huge win over previously-undefeated Oklahoma in the Jumpman Invitational last week. The Sooners were ranked No. 7 in the country at the time of the game.

UNC is one of six ACC teams who made Lunardi’s field of 68 in this projection. The Tar Heels are joined by Duke, Clemson, Miami, Virginia and Virginia Tech. The Tigers are the No. 3 seed and currently slot in as the ACC’s automatic qualifier. The Hokies are the last team in the field.

North Carolina is 8-3 on the season and seems to be well on its way to redeeming itself after it missed the NCAA Tournament last season. The Tar Heels are currently ranked No. 15 nationally, per KenPom.

Carolina will be in action again on Friday against Charleston Southern.
