North Carolina moves up multiple spots in AP Top 25 after Week 4
North Carolina moved up a couple spots in this week’s AP Top 25.
The Tar Heels are now ranked No. 15 nationally, per the poll. Carolina was at No. 17 prior to its win over Pitt in Week 4.
North Carolina is 1 of 4 ACC teams to appear in the poll this week. Florida State, Miami and Duke also made the cut. Louisville and Clemson are receiving votes this week.
UNC defeated the Panthers 41-24 on Saturday behind a trio of touchdowns from quarterback Drake Maye. Omarion Hampton also added a score in the big win.
North Carolina also got help from its special teams and defense. UNC scored on a punt return touchdown and forced 3 turnovers by Pitt.
North Carolina is now 4-0 this season with a trio of Power-5 wins. The Tar Heels are also 1-0 in ACC play.
Carolina will be idle in Week 5.
