The oddsmakers are not expecting North Carolina to beat Oregon in the Holiday Bowl.

When the odds opened up, North Carolina was an 11-point underdog against Oregon, according to DraftKings. As the double-digit underdog, North Carolina will look to pull off an upset win in the team’s final game of the season.

In the ACC Championship Game, North Carolina suffered a 29-point loss to Clemson. That blowout loss likely contributed to North Carolina’s underdog odds in the bowl. North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye was limited to 268 passing yards and he threw 2 interceptions. Maye scored the team’s only touchdown in the loss, which came as a rushing touchdown.

Despite recording 386 yards of offense, North Carolina struggled to hang with Clemson for 4 quarters. With the most recent loss, North Carolina enters the bowl game on a 3-game losing streak. North Carolina finished the regular season with a 9-4 record.

Oregon will enter the Holiday Bowl with a 9-3 record. In Week 13, Oregon suffered a 38-34 loss to Oregon State. Oregon squandered a 21-point lead in the 4th quarter. With the loss, Oregon missed out on the Pac-12 Championship Game and had to settle for the Holiday Bowl.

The Holiday Bowl will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 28 at 8 p.m. ET.
