North Carolina picked up a record-tying win over UCLA on Friday night.

The Tar Heels are now tied with Kentucky for most NCAA Tournament victories all-time with 129. Duke is in a distant third place with 117 total wins.

Caleb Love was the difference in UNC’s Sweet 16 victory over UCLA. He scored 30 points, including 27 in the second half.

North Carolina’s win means the Tar Heels are in the Elite Eight for the first time since 2017 when they ultimately won the National Championship.

UNC will have the opportunity to break this record against Saint Peter’s on Sunday. If the Tar Heels win, they’ll advance to their 21st Final Four all-time. They already hold the all-time record with 20 (UCLA has 18).

However, Saint Peter’s will be a tough test. The Peacocks have already defeated three higher-seeded teams than the Tar Heels — Kentucky, Murray State and Purdue. They’re one of the best defensive teams in the country and have proven to be effective offensively in crunch time.

Tipoff is at 5:05 p.m. ET on Sunday.
