North Carolina will be hosting 4-star center James Brown on an official visit later this fall, according to a report.

That’s per Rivals’ David Sisk, who notes that Brown will also be visiting Missouri.

Listed at 6-foot-9, Brown is one of the top centers in the country for this class. He’s currently ranked as the No. 31 overall player and the No. 6 center in the class of 2024, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

Brown is from Chicago, Illinois. He picked up a North Carolina offer back in June. He’s also been offered by programs like Duke, Michigan State, Michigan and Indiana.

North Carolina doesn’t have any commitments yet in the class of 2024. The Tar Heels have just one 2023 commitment so far in 5-star guard Simeon Wilcher. However, they’re expected to add more prospects to that class in the coming months.
