North Carolina guard Leaky Black will have a decision to make over the coming weeks.

Black is close to finishing his fourth season with the Tar Heels, but he does have the option to return for a fifth year because of the pandemic’s impact on the 2020-21 season.

After UNC’s overtime win vs. Syracuse on Monday night, he was asked about his emotions leaving the tunnel for (possibly) the final time.

“It felt great,” Black said. “Hopefully I can do it again.”

Black has been one of the best perimeter defenders in the ACC this season and is an invaluable part of North Carolina’s team.

He’s also significantly increased his offensive efficiency numbers this year β€” he’s shooting over 49 percent from the floor and 41.7 percent from 3-point range.

It’s unclear what the rest of North Carolina’s roster will look like next season. Caleb Love and Armando Bacot are eligible to return, but also could begin their professional careers. Brady Manek is UNC’s only rotation player who will definitely be moving on as he’s exhausted all of his eligibility.

UNC plays at Duke on Saturday to finish out the regular season.
