Puff Johnson update: Hubert Davis shares availability ahead of Duke game

Puff Johnson has battled an ongoing knee injury that caused him to miss 3 recent games, and 6 overall this season, for the Tar Heels.

But coach Hubert Davis told reporters on Friday that Johnson practiced on Thursday and should be ready to go on Saturday against Duke.

“He’ll be ready to go (for practice) and for the game against Duke,” Davis told reporters on Friday.

Johnson, a junior wing, has played in 16 games, and averages 4.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 14.7 minutes. UNC (15-7, 7-4 ACC) and Duke (16-6, 7-4) are set to play at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in a game that will be televised on ESPN.
