Notre Dame’s Kyle Hamilton and Michael Mayer were named to the Associated Press’ All-America teams on Monday.

Hamilton made the second team while Mayer was honored as part of the third team. Here’s the announcement:

Hamilton received this honor despite playing in just 7 games this season. He’s been out since October with an injury, but was one of the most feared safeties in the country this season.

Earlier this week, Hamilton decided to enter the NFL Draft and opt out of Notre Dame’s Fiesta Bowl matchup with Oklahoma State. He ends his collegiate career with 8 interceptions, 16 pass deflections and 134 total tackles.

Meanwhile, Mayer proved to be one of the most underrated players in the country this season. He turned in one of the best seasons ever for a Notre Dame tight end, catching 64 passes for 748 yards and 5 touchdowns. Alongside running back Kyren Williams, Mayer was one of the focal points of Notre Dame’s offense this season.

Notre Dame faces Oklahoma State in the Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 1.
