Anthonie Knapp, elite OT out of Georgia, announces ACC commitment

Anthonie Knapp, a 6-foot-4 and 268-pound offensive tackle recruit out of Roswell, Georgia, has announced his college commitment.

Knapp chose Notre Dame over the likes of Georgia Tech, North Carolina, NC State and Penn State. Knapp has a reported 22 offers, and was recruited to Notre Dame by Joe Rudolph and Gerad Parker. Knapp said his first offer came about a year ago from UMass, and he only weighed about 212 pounds. Rudolph was Knapp’s first Power 5 offer when the offensive line coach was at Virginia Tech. Rudolph, along with Notre Dame’s history and education led him to pick the Irish.

“They always tell you when you go to a school and you know it’s right, it feels right,” he said on a 247Sports live announcement.

Knapp is ranked the No. 41 offensive tackle in the Class of 2024, and the No. 60 player in Georgia, according to the 247Sports Composite. Knapp is the 9th commit for Notre Dame in its 2024 class, and second offensive lineman.
