Audric Estime wasted no time making an impact on Notre Dame-NC State following a lengthy weather delay.

On the first play after a delay that took more than an hour, Estime broke free for an 80-yard touchdown run to give the Fighting Irish a 10-0 lead.

All-America left tackle Joe Alt made the block that sprung Estime for the end zone. Here’s a replay:

That’s the longest run for Estime in his collegiate career. It’s also the longest run by any Notre Dame player since Kyren Williams went for 91 yards against North Carolina in 2021.

Prior to that play, Notre Dame had accounted for just 39 yards of offense prior to the weather delay. The Fighting Irish were forced to punt on their first 2 drives before finally getting on the board with a field goal late in the 1st quarter.

Notre Dame’s defense has not allowed a touchdown through 9 quarters of play this season.

Notre Dame has won 28 consecutive games against ACC opponents in the regular season.
