Bob Diaco is joining Brian Kelly’s coach staff at LSU, according to a report.

Diaco will be an analyst for the Tigers, according to On3’s Matt Zenitz. Diaco was most recently the defensive line coach for the New Jersey Generals in the USFL.

Since his stint at Notre Dame, Diaco has worked for Purdue, Louisiana Tech, Oklahoma and Nebraska as an assistant coach. He was also the head coach at UConn from 2014-16.

Diaco was Notre Dame’s defensive coordinator from 2010-13. That stretch included the 2012 campaign when Diaco’s defense led the Irish to an undefeated record during the regular season.

Diaco, 50, has been a college football coach since 1999.
