BOOM! Notre Dame lands 5-star LB in class of 2023
Notre Dame’s 2023 recruiting class got a major boost on Wednesday night.
5-star linebacker Drayk Bowen verbally committed to the Fighting Irish. Clemson and Auburn were the other teams in his final three.

Bowen is the No. 28 overall player and the No. 2 linebacker in the class of 2023, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
He attends Andrean High School in Merrillville, Indiana. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 215 pounds.
Bowen joins a 2023 recruiting class at Notre Dame that’s already loaded with blue-chip talent. He becomes the sixth member of the class and the second 5-star.
Notre Dame’s 2023 class currently ranks No. 3 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings. It trails only Oklahoma and Georgia.
As for the 2022 recruiting cycle, the Fighting Irish have a chance to finish with a top 5 class. Brian Kelly’s staff has already received commitments from 21 prospects and the class ranks No. 5 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
Notre Dame hosts Navy on Saturday.
