Notre Dame’s Brian Kelly has been mentioned as a potential candidate at USC in recent days, but he shot down any speculation about him leaving South Bend on Monday afternoon.

Kelly joked it would take a “fairy godmother” offer to get him to leave Notre Dame for another job.

Over the weekend, multiple members of ESPN’s College GameDay crew gave Kelly’s name for who they would hire to the position at USC.

Kelly has been at Notre Dame since 2010 and currently has the program in great shape. The Fighting Irish have won 10+ games for five consecutive seasons, which is the longest such streak in program history.

Notre Dame is also in the mix for the College Football Playoff. It could be ranked as high as No. 6 when the updated College Football Playoff rankings are revealed on Tuesday.

Notre Dame defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman has also been mentioned as a coach who may get a head job this cycle.

The Fighting Irish end their regular season on Saturday vs. Stanford.
