Cane Berrong spent a pair of seasons as a reserve tight end for Notre Dame before entering the transfer portal. Now, he has revealed where he will resume his college career.

As you can see below, Berrong has committed to Coastal Carolina. He posted the news to his Twitter account on Thursday evening:

Berrong, a Georgia native, was considered a 4-star recruit and the No. 10 tight end in the country by 247Sports when he signed for Brian Kelly and the Fighting Irish out of the class of 2021. When Kelly left South Bend to become t

he head coach at LSU after the 2021 season, Berrong opted to stay as Marcus Freeman was promoted from defensive coordinator to the top spot.

He now heads closer to home to play for the Chanticleers, led by Tim Beck in his 1st season. Beck, the former offensive coordinator at NC State, replaced Jamey Chadwell, who is now at Liberty. The Chants were 9-4 in 2022.
