Eli Raridon was full of praise for his Notre Dame teammates. Speaking to the media after practice, the sophomore TE said that new QB Sam Hartman “has a beautiful arm.” Raridon was also quick to compliment Tyler Buchner as well while expressing his confidence in the QB room.

During his comments, Raridon said that Hartman was “doing really well” and “his throws look really good.” Hartman is the ACC’s career passing leader and transferred to Notre Dame after spending 5 seasons at Wake Forest. Hartman led the Demon Deacons to a win in the Gasparilla Bowl last season, earning MVP honors.

Raridon also provided critique on Tyler Buchner, who he said “is looking great too.” Buchner opened last season as the starter for the Irish before getting injured and missing most of the year.

He threw for 651 yards with 3 touchdowns and 5 interceptions across 3 games played in 2022. He also rushed for 123 yards and 4 touchdowns and is still in the mix to see playing time alongside Hartman this season.
