ESPN’s College GameDay crew made their picks for Notre Dame-Syracuse on Saturday morning.

Notre Dame is a slight underdog in this matchup. If the Irish win, it would be their second ranked victory of the season. Syracuse is No. 16 in this week’s AP Poll — the same ranking BYU had when it lost to Notre Dame earlier this month.

Here are the picks from the GameDay crew:

Desmond Howard: Syracuse

Pat McAfee: Syracuse

Stephen A. Smith (guest picker): Syracuse

Kirk Herbstreit: Notre Dame

Lee Corso missed today’s show as he tends to a health issue. Kirk Herbstreit said Corso is “optimistic” about being back for next week’s show.

Notre Dame has won four straight meetings in this series. Syracuse’s last win over the Irish was back in 2008. Notre Dame also has a good recent history vs. ACC opposition — its last regular season loss to an ACC program was in 2017.

Kickoff is at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon.
