According to ESPN’s Football Power Index, Notre Dame has a 88.2% chance of defeating Marshall this weekend.

The Thundering Heard are coming off a 55-3 win over Norfolk State in Week 1.

Marshall was led by quarterback Henri Colombi, who completed 24-of-26 passes in the win. Running backs Ethan Payne and Khalan Laborn each rushed for over 100 yards.

This will be the first home game of the Marcus Freeman era. When talking with reporters earlier this week, Freeman acknowledged the importance of his first game in South Bend.

Notre Dame is coming off an emotional loss to Ohio State in Columbus in Week 1. The Irish’s defense performed well, but their offense didn’t find the end zone in the second half. They will want to show growth offensively in Week 2 against the Thundering Heard.

Kickoff is at 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
