ESPN's FPI updates Notre Dame's win probability vs. Wake Forest
ESPN’s Football Power Index has updated its projection for Notre Dame’s Week 12 contest against Wake Forest.
Notre Dame is coming out of its second and final bye week of the 2023 season. The Fighting Irish lost to Clemson in their most recent game, but will be looking to get back in the win column this weekend vs. Wake Forest.
The Demon Deacons have been slumping in recent weeks. They’re coming off of a disappointing effort in a blowout loss to NC State in Week 11. Wake Forest has to win the remaining two games on its schedule in order to reach bowl eligibility.
FPI is projecting Wake Forest’s bowl streak to come to an end this weekend. The model gives Notre Dame a 94.1% chance to win on Saturday in South Bend.
Notre Dame can still get to 10 wins for the first time in the Marcus Freeman era if it wins the remainder of its games (including a bowl game). Last season, the Irish went 9-4 in their first campaign under Freeman.
Notre Dame is 4-0 all-time against Wake Forest.
Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon.
