Notre Dame is a big favorite this weekend over rival Stanford.

ESPN’s SP+ metric is predicting a 37-21 victory for the Fighting Irish. This would be Notre Dame’s fourth consecutive win this season since beginning the year at 0-2.

Notre Dame has also won 3 straight meetings over Stanford, a streak that dates back to the 2018 season. The rivals did not play in 2020 due to the pandemic.

Stanford has struggled vs. FBS opposition this season. David Shaw’s team has lost 4 straight games, including a heartbreaking loss to Oregon State last weekend. The Cardinal have also lost to Washington, Oregon and USC so far this season.

Notre Dame picked up a ranked win last week by beating BYU in Las Vegas. It was the first ranked win of Marcus Freeman’s coaching tenure in South Bend.

Notre Dame’s offense appears to have figured out many of its issues. Quarterback Drew Pyne is playing well right now, as is running back Audric Estime.

Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night.
