If Syracuse is going to win this game, it will come with a more balanced approach offensively. The Orange got away from their running game a bit too much in last week’s loss to Clemson. All-ACC candidate Sean Tucker had just five carries in that game.
Tucker and quarterback Garrett Shrader form one of the more formidable rushing backfields in the ACC. If they’re able to control the ball and wear down Notre Dame’s defense throughout the game, they have a good chance of pulling off the win.
Notre Dame’s offense will likely also be focused on the ground game, where Clemson had success a week ago. Expect Logan Diggs to get the majority of the carries as he did last week against UNLV.
Kickoff is at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon.
