Former Old Dominion offensive line coach Kevin Reihner has accepted a senior analyst position with the Irish, according to a report from FootballScoop.

Reihner previously coached at Delaware, and also was a graduate assistant at Penn State and Wake Forest. Reihner began his coaching career as the offensive quality control coach at Fordham. Reihner played at Penn State and Stanford, and grew up Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Reihner at Stanford appeared in 10 games for the Cardinal, and as a redshirt junior in 2014, he played in 6 games to help an offense that averaged 388.6 total yards per game. He also saw time in 3 games as a sophomore and one game as a freshman.

His father played at Penn State (1974-77) and later 6 seasons with the Houston Oilers.

Earlier this offseason, Notre Dame named Joe Rudolph, most recently the offensive line coach and run game coordinator at Virginia Tech, as the new offensive line coach. He replaced Harry Hiestand after Hiestand retired.
