Mike Brey parties with fans at 'The Linebacker' following final home game at Notre Dame
Mike Brey capped off a tremendous career at Notre Dame on Wednesday night.
The Fighting Irish defeated 1st place Pittsburgh in their final home game of Brey’s 23-year career. After the game, Brey headed down to ‘The Linebacker’ to celebrate with fans.
He spent the evening taking photos — and shots — with fans at the local bar.
Brey told reporters on Tuesday that he planned on going to The Linebacker for the 1st time in his tenure as Notre Dame’s head coach.
“I’m going tomorrow, and we’re closing that sucker,” he said.
Brey stuck to his word. Here are some photos and video from Brey’s night out:

Mike Brey kept his word and had himself a night after winning his last game in South Bend.
Legend.

It’s been a tough season for Notre Dame. The Irish have an 11-19 record on the year and last night was just their 3rd ACC victory of the season.
Brey is expected to pursue other head coaching opportunities after the season. Notre Dame is also expected to conduct a national search for his replacement.
Notre Dame closes out its season on the road on Saturday vs. Clemson.
