Former Notre Dame start Manti Te’o will participate in NBC’s Notre Dame-BYU broadcast this weekend, the network has announced.

Te’o will be apart of the halftime and postgame show and will be joined by former BYU player Chad Lewis. Both Te’o and Lewis will serve as analysts alongside Kathryn Tappen.

“I’m excited to be a part of the gameday experience in Las Vegas. I look forward to joining the NBC team and providing insight on the game and what it means to be a student athlete at the University of Notre Dame. Let’s get this win! Go Irish!” Te’o said in a press release.

Te’o is becoming more involved in Notre Dame football this season. He spoke to the team at a pregame rally earlier this season and was given a standing ovation inside Notre Dame’s stadium against Cal.

The former All-American recently wrapped up a lengthy NFL career. He most recently played with the Chicago Bears in 2020.

Notre Dame is a small betting favorite against the Cougars this weekend. The Fighting Irish are 4-2 all-time against BYU. Notre Dame also defeated BYU in 2012 and 2013, but those wins were later vacated.

Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m. ET on Saturday night.
