Niele Ivery has been named the ACC women’s basketball Coach of the Year after leading the Fighting Irish to a 24-4 record, ACC regular season title and a No. 1 seed in the upcoming ACC Tournament.

Ivey has been Notre Dame’s head coach since 2020. This is Notre Dame’s first time winning the ACC regular season title since 2019. Before that, the Fighting Irish had totaled 6 straight dating back to 2014.

Notre Dame has to contend with a strong group of ACC programs if winning its first ACC Tournament since 2019. Louisville, North Carolina and Virginia Tech all will vy for the title alongside the Fighting Irish favorites.

The ACC Tournament tips off Wednesday, March 1.
