Notre Dame 4-star safety target sets date for official visit to South Bend

Notre Dame 4-star safety target Marquis Gallegos will take a visit to South Bend later this summer, according to a report.

Per 247Sports’ Greg Biggins, Gallegos will be at Notre Dame the weekend of June 9. He’s also set to visit Michigan, USC and Oregon during the month of June.

Gallegos is a 4-star prospect from California. He attends Chaminade High School in West Hills, Calif.

He’s currently ranked as the No. 246 overall player and the No. 22 safety in the country for the class of 2023, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 21 player from California.

Notre Dame has been recruiting Gallegos for over a year now. The program initially offered him a scholarship back in March of 2022.

The Fighting Irish are off to a strong start in the 2024 cycle. They currently have 14 commitments and own the nation’s No. 4-ranked class, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Gallegos is expected to make a commitment in July. Here are some highlights from his sophomore season:
