5-star athlete Samuel M’Pemba has reportedly adjusted his official visit calendar — and it could be a big benefit for Notre Dame.

M’Pemba was originally set to officially visit South Bend later this month. Instead, he’ll be on Notre Dame’s campus in November for the Irish’s marquee clash with Clemson.

Rivals’ Kyle Kelly delivered that news on Tuesday evening, citing a conversation with M’Pemba:

Having M’Pemba visit campus during a major game atmosphere — rather than a relatively quiet June weekend — could turn out to be a brilliant decision for the Irish.

M’Pemba is a big target for Notre Dame as it continues to build out its 2023 recruiting class. He currently ranks as the No. 16 overall player in the country for the class of 2023, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

His lead recruiter, according to 247Sports, is Notre Dame defensive line coach Al Washington. That could be a clue as to how the Fighting Irish intend to use him in the future.

He’s listed at 6-foot-4, 230 pounds and attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.

M’Pemba unofficially visited Notre Dame back in March. He’s also recently visited Georgia, Miami and Florida.
