Notre Dame’s highest-ranked commitment in the class of 2023 is still committed to Notre Dame — for now.

5-star EDGE prospect Keon Keeley took a visit to Alabama earlier this summer, but left Tuscaloosa without flipping his commitment.

Earlier this week, Keeley spoke with ScorebookLive.com’s Andy Villamarzo about his current status.

He stopped short of reaffirming his commitment to the Fighting Irish:

“Right now with my commitment, all I know at this exact moment … is that I’m committed to the University of Notre Dame,” Keeley told Villamarzo. “I can’t really speak out on my favorites, but I know that I’m committed to the University of Notre Dame.

“I’m focused on practices day-by-day, and whenever I get spare time at night, I talk with my family and my head coach [about] recruiting. All I know is that I’m committed to the University of Notre Dame.”

Keeley is Notre Dame’s lone 5-star commitment in the class of 2023. He’s the No. 8 overall player and the No. 1 EDGE prospect in the country, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

Listed at 6-foot-6, Keeley attends Berkeley Prep in Tampa, Florida.

Notre Dame is up to 23 commitments so far this cycle. The groups No. 1 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Keeley has been committed to Notre Dame for over 1 year. He already took his official visit to South Bend back in June. It’s unclear if he plans to take other official visits this fall.
