On Monday, Notre Dame announced 3 ‘players of the game’ for their performances vs. Cal over the weekend.

Running back Audric Estime, safety Houston Griffith and defensive end Isaiah Foskey were chosen for the honor.

Estime was Notre Dame’s most-effective offensive playmaker on Saturday vs. the Golden Bears. He carried the ball 18 times for 76 yards and 1 touchdown in the win. He also caught 3 passes for 43 yards — 1-yard off the team lead.

Griffith recorded 3 tackles in the win. He led the Notre Dame secondary to a productive day. Cal quarterback Jack Plummer completed just 16-of-37 passes for 184 yards.

Foskey was also vital to Notre Dame’s efforts defensively as he recorded 4 tackles and was credited with 1.5 sacks. As a team, the Fighting Irish recorded 6 sacks.

Notre Dame will have a tougher test in Week 4 as it travels to Chapel Hill to face an undefeated North Carolina team.
